Glengoyne Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky is celebrating a winning streak at two internationally acclaimed spirits competitions.

The Highland distillery collected four of the very top awards at The Spirits Business Luxury Masters and the Scotch Whisky Masters.

Glengoyne 21 Year Old was awarded Gold in the Luxury Masters, while Glengoyne 25 Year Old claimed the Master medal and a place in the next round of judging. Winners of Master medals automatically qualify to compete for the overall title of ‘Grand Luxury Master 2018’.

Meanwhile, in the Scotch Whisky Masters, Gold medals were awarded to Glengoyne 12 Year Old and Glengoyne Cask Strength (Batch 5). Glengoyne 10 Year Old also took home a Silver medal.

Chaired by The Spirits Business and assessed by a panel of leading spirits specialists, both competitions are highly respected in the drinks industry and involve a rigorous blind tasting and scoring process.

The Luxury Masters seeks to identify and reward the world’s finest luxury spirits brands. Entries for the 2018 Luxury Masters were open to all spirits products in the super-premium bracket and above, with excellence recognised for appearance, aroma and flavour.

Entries in the 2018 Scotch Whisky Masters were assessed and marked on nose, palate, appearance and overall balance, with whiskies scoring more than 70 points awarded a medal.

Katy Macanna, Brand Manager for Glengoyne, said: “These awards are a glowing testament to the quality of our Glengoyne single malt whiskies and we are absolutely delighted to have once again been placed so highly in two esteemed industry competitions.

“We are particularly excited to follow the progress of Glengoyne 25 Years Old as it competes for the overall title of Grand Luxury Master 2018. This is one of our most popular age expressions and, with flavours of brown sugar, cinnamon and liquorice, it is consistently a favourite with whisky lovers around the world.”

Glengoyne’s success in the Luxury Masters and the Scotch Whisky Masters is just the latest in a winning year for the brand. In May, Glengoyne 30 Year Old was awarded the Master medal at the Asian Spirits Masters, with Gold awards going to Glengoyne 21 Year Old and Glengoyne 25 Year Old. Glengoyne 21 Year Old also scooped the esteemed Double Gold medal at the 2018 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
